Haunted House [Open Plot]
Every city has THAT house. The one on the end of the lane, supposedly haunted, etc. This is THAT house, is located in the Slums, and it really is haunted. Vampires, Ghosts, Ghouls, you name it and it's probably here. But there's a rumor of a treasure cache in the basement. Will you, a brave PC, venture into the Haunted House?
Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
The rumors were true - and there were enough of them to justify those claims. A bewitched home that held different manners of undead creatures. Without a doubt, there was a problem that needed to be addressed by someone. That someone would be Mia - although her intent was entirely different than those she had overheard.
Mia skittered towards the front door of the haunted house and prayed for the best. Attempting to be casual about it, she regained her composure as she stood before the front door. Even though she had many encounters with demons, ghosts, the undead and others, she was nervous. The atmosphere of the house was responsible. In all truth, anyone but her would have served better - if the residents knew she was a priestess, it could likely end unpleasantly.
Raising one hand, she knocked on the door.

A small, hunchbacked, man opens the door. He has stitches in various places. "Yeth?" he says, with an obvious lisp, watching Mia carefully
Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
Mia expected some kind of large beast with swords for teeth to answer the door. A small man was a much better sight.
"Rumors are passing around the town that there's riches and treasure in your home. True or not, those rumors alone are enough to bring some to commit thievery and murder." Dismemberment for the undead wasn't as severe as it was for the living, but it was still an unnecessary hindrance to their 'life'.
"Be prepared."
That was the sole reason for Mia's arrival - she didn't want the residents of this home to be under siege by surprise over something as petty as rumors of treasure.

"The rumorth are true, madame." the man says. "I am Igor. Care to come in to the mathter's humble abode?"
Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
"No."
Mia turned and left. They knew, and even seemed to want the attack to happen. It wasn't her responsibility to get involved.

Igor sighs sadly, and slams the door so hard that sleeping bats on the roof wake up and fly away

"That was nice of you."
Sniper 7 drops down from the roof, uncloaking as he goes. He'd been looking around the rooftops, getting familiar with the area, and had stopped for a while on the house's roof, when he noticed Mia.
"Strangely nice. Why would you go warn some people down here, of all places? What's your angle?"

Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
"Because killing and ostracizing others based on their differences is still a common practice in our society, and so it always shall be regardless of how close we become."
Mia seemed slightly bitter with those words, but they were words not of opinion, but of experience. The fact that this man appeared out of thin air wasn't as unusual as it was... unfitting. The last thing Mia wanted to consider was that she was being observed by an invisible audience at every turn.
"If an attack did happen here, if they wanted it or not, the repercussions could possibly be felt across all of Polis. That is why I am here to attempt to do what little I can."

The Desperado (See my avatar) is riding his horse down the street. He gets off it when he reaches the Haunted House. He's whistling merrily, a Holy Symbol in one hand, a Revolver in the other.
Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
Mia quickly skitters over to that gun-wielding man. "You can't walk into this house and kill anything you see. These creatures are sentient and are inflicting no harm on anyone. That's murder of no other kind!"

"Who says murder? I'm here to loot the treasure." the Desperado says, holstering his revolver.Mia Nibheim wrote:Mia quickly skitters over to that gun-wielding man. "So... you're just... going to walk inside with a gun, a holy cross, and walk through them while they ignore you, then grab their valuables and walk out without thinking anything of it, while they stand there in total awe?"

"Surprisingly, it's worked many times before. This time, I'm going to use trickery." Mia didn't have any more words. She merely folded her arms beneath her breasts and decided to watch. Thievery all the same, but it was out of her realm of influence.

The Desperado seems to remember something. "And I heard the Count has several prisoners down in his cellar, and I want to try and free them. I've heard stories about The Count's brutality. Apparently he's VERY evil. Perfectly justifies entering the House, freeing the prisoners, beating up the Count, and looting."
((Normally the characters I play in FFRP are Lawful Good guys that'd never attack a Count under the prospect that he MIGHT be evil. This is a nice change of pace for me ))
Re: Haunted House [Open Plot]
Mia blinked. More than anything else, she was impressed by how that explanation could be used to justify just about anything. She would stand aside and wait, to behold him entering that house and expecting a tremendous failure to follow.

Whistling merrily, the Desperado knocks on the door. Igor answers, asks if he wants to come in, and then the Desperado does.

"Heh. Now I'm curious. See ya."
Sniper 7 cloaks as the Desperado walks past, and sneaks behind him, going in as well.

Oddly enough, inside the walls appear to be made of stone. The floor's made of old wooden planks. There's an old, red velvet couch with bugs crawling on it. Sitting on the couch is The Count. The Count has jet black hair, a long red cloak, spiked boots, and a black shirt. The Count's eating raw meat of unknown origin.
"Ah, visitors. Ve almost never have visitors. This city, it is a lot less friendly then Transylvania. Nobody evers comes for dinner, anymore."

Sniper 7 stays quiet and cloaked, just observing what happens for now.

"Oh for the love of the ancients, put the sign away, von't you?" The Count tells the Desperado. The Desperado holsters the Holy Symbol.
"Sit down, why von't you? Relax...it's good for the blooooood." the Count says
